Sexy In Specs
According to a poll carried out by the College of Optometrists David Tennant is one of the sexiest celebs to wear glasses. He came 4th in the list.
Dr Susan Blakeney said: "It's great to see such an eclectic mix of celebrities that people think look good in glasses."

Polar Bear: Spy On The Ice
David Tennant has narrated a new documentary for the BBC, Polar Bear: Spy On The Ice, and it will be broadcast tonight on BBC One at 20:00pm.
BBC Scotland will show it at a later date on 31st December at 8:40pm.

Shot mainly using spy cameras, this film gets closer than ever before to the world's greatest land predator.
Icebergcam, Blizzardcam and Snowballcam are a new generation of covert devices on a mission to explore the Arctic islands of Svalbard in Norway. Backed up by Snowcam and Driftcam, these state-of-the-art camouflaged cameras reveal the extraordinary curiosity and intelligence of the polar bear.
The cameras are just a breath away when two sets of cubs emerge from winter maternity dens. They also capture the moment when the sea-ice breaks away from the island in the Spring. As one set of mother and cubs journey across the drifting ice in search of seals, the other is marooned on the island with very little food. How they cope with their different fates is captured in revelatory close-up detail.
The cameras also follow the bears as they hunt seals, raid bird colonies, dive for kelp and indulge in entertaining courtship rituals. Icebergcam even discovers their little-known social nature as seven bears share a washed-up whale carcass.
Often just a paw's swipe from the play-fighting and squabbling bears, the spy cameras face their most challenging subject yet. When their curious subjects discover the cameras, they are subjected to some comical-but-destructive encounters.
As the film captures its intimate portrait of polar bears' lives, it reveals how their intelligence and curiosity help them cope in a world of shrinking ice.

Marley Was Dead is a wonderful piece of spoof radio. It's 9.02pm on Christmas Eve, and listeners are about to hear a starry cast performance of A Christmas Carol from St Martin in the Fields, introduced by Jonathan Dimbleby. At least, they think they are... Jonathan Dimbleby, speaking from the balcony, introduces the production and the stellar cast: Sir Ian McKellen as Scrooge, Sir Patrick Stewart as the Narrator, David Tennant as Bob Cratchit, and so forth. Sir Simon Rattle is conducting. But a few seconds into the play itself - just after listeners hear the famous opening lines "Marley was dead" - things take an unexpected turn for the worse. What follows next is screwball comedy in the finest tradition. Marley Was Dead is written and narrated by John Nicholson and Richard Katz, who also star as the Narrator and Scrooge respectively. Javier Marzan plays Bob Cratchit. Special guests include: Jonathan Dimbleby; Richard Madeley; Jane Horrocks; Chris Evans; Charlotte Green; Edward Kelsey; Peter Purves; Gwyneth Williams; and Dara O Brian. The play is devised by one of the UK's most exciting touring comic theatre companies, Peepolykus (pronounced: people-like-us). "Peepolykus should receive subsidy from the NHS to tour the country and bring a delight to audiences with shows that dispel stress, anxiety and depression" The British Theatre Review "In comedy terms, what Peepolykus can do is limitless" Variety.

The Radio Times says: While Matt Smith is starring in a Doctor Who version of A Christmas Carol on TV, his predecessor David Tennant is to feature in this enthralling live adaptation too.

David Turns City Trader
David took to the trading floor in London yesterday to help raise money for charity. He was among a group of high profile people including Prince William, Geri Halliwell and Daniel Craig who all manned the phones at global firm ICAP. The firm donated the day's revenues to over 200 good causes.
