David Tennant At The Spies Of Warsaw Press Panel

David Tennant took part in a discussion panel earlier today as BBC America presented The Spies Of Warsaw  at the Television Critics Association 2012 Summer Press Tour. David took to the stage alongside writers Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement and executive producer Richard Fell for the fifteen-minute presentation. The event was thoroughly reported via Twitter, with tweets about David's clothing first of all:

The delegates at the event were shown a short clip of the series that was described as "great", "intriguing" "very promising" and "looking really good".One journalist, @sepinwall, said of the accents used: "At Spies of Warsaw panel, we're discussing David Tennant's facility w/accents. I'd rather listen to his regular speaking voice all the time."

The panel talked about the seduction scene that takes place on a "very glamorous" train, with David claiming of the twice seduced Mercier: "I'm an innocent!". He did, however have great things to say about co-star Janet Montgomery, agreeing that she is a star in the making; "I think Janet Montgomery is indisputably going to be a star." he said "I was quite intimidated by the beauty and aura that surround her."

David was also asked about his thoughts on the London Olympics. He told the journalists that the British Press had been predicting disaster in the run up to the Games, but the negative reports had finished now that "It looks like it's vaguely working!"

The series is due to air on BBC America in November, only shortly after the predicted October premiere for the UK and Poland. For more details about the series visit here
