Spies Of Warsaw To Air In Poland Without Dubbing

The second episode of Spies Of Warsaw starring David Tennant may air without dubbing, reports Polish website Hatak. Their report reads:

Andrzej Godlewski of TVP has tweeted that the next episode "Spies of Warsaw" will also be available without dubbing.

Mr. Godlewski on the question of a version with subtitles, said on Twitter: "At the request of the audience we will try from the next episode." It seems that viewers will have a choice between the next episode dubbed, and presumably the English version with subtitles. Let us recall that the show was shot in English, and the first episode was aired in Poland with the actors dubbed.
Station officials have not announced this information, but as Andrzej Godlewski is deputy editor of TVP1, this information may be regarded as official.

The decision will no doubt please many Polish fans who have reported that the current dubbed version seems unnatural and awkward.

Mr. Godlewski also tweeted that the premiere episode Spies Of Warsaw broadcast to an audience share of 21% on Friday evening. The drama will be shown in four parts on TVP1 and will continue on Friday 18th January at 8.30pm.

  1. Great news! 90% of Polish dubbing is plainly awful. Completely terrible... e.g. The Avengers...
