Camille Coduri Praises David Tennant

Camille Coduri, who played Jackie Tyler in Doctor Who has praised David to an Australian convention audience.

Camille is appearing at the Whovention GOLD event in Sydney this weekend, and she spoke fondly of working with David at her appearance earlier today, describing him as an 'excited puppy'.

She said he was "like all your birthdays and Christmas every day. He never complains about anything. Ever. Which was a bit weird at first, but that's just him!"

Whovention is organised by the Doctor Who Club of Australia and is taking place over the weekend at Bankstown Sports Club in Sydney. Other guests include Louise Jameson and Dudley Simpson.

  1. "like all your birthdays and Christmas every day. He never complains about anything. Ever. Which was a bit weird at first, but that's just him!"

Easily one of the coolest ways I've heard the man described.

  2. But then again he did complain while filming Doctor Who that some of the previous Doctors were sometimes credited as Doctor Who, which Tennant though was inaccurate; they were referred to as "the Doctor" and should be credited as much. He joked it was not a job-breaking deal, but also said he had enough of a touch of Asberger's (I think he was joking, because people I know who actually suffer from Asberger's are not described as excited puppies!") that he stuck with it till his changes were implemented.

So I'd say maybe he's a bit of an excited puppy who grabs onto your shoe and won't let go.

Either way he is extraordinary and I so wish I lived in the UK so I could see all his work, see it earlier, and perhaps even see him on the stage!
