David Tennant To Co-Present Part Of The Red Nose Day Marathon TV Show



David Tennant will be co-hosting a segment of the Red Nose Day TV marathon show on Friday 15th March. David will be joining Jack Whitehall and Jonathan Ross in the studio from 11.05pm.

The Comic Relief 2013 show starts at 7pm and is presented throughout the evening by a vast array of famous faces, all of whom will be urging you to donate towards the courses supported by the campaign in the UK and Africa. The big names include Lenny Henry, Dermot O'Leary, Claudia Winkelman, Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon, John Bishop, Davina McCall, David Walliams, Alan Carr and Russell Brand. The show will also include special appearances by French and Saunders, Peter Kay, Miranda Hart, Graham Norton and Russell Howard and the return of David Brent played by Ricky Gervais.

Continued coverage of the charity event, which aims to raise money for disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa. 11.05pm Jonathan Ross and Jack Whitehall are at the helm, joined by former Doctor Who David Tennant, while Citizen Khan travels down from Birmingham. Also, David Walliams reveals the identities of all the celebrities he has been `intimate with' over the past 12 months. 11.45pm Alan Carr and David Walliams (yes, him again) host the next hour, featuring a new music video from Peter Kay, a hugely ambitious illusion by street magician Dynamo, some Good News from Russell Howard and highlights of Graham Norton's marathon BBC Three chat show from last Thursday. 12.45am Russell Brand takes over the presenting baton to steer things through to the end, presenting clips from - among other things - his own Give It Up for Comic Relief gig.

Red Nose Day is a national fundraising event which takes place every two years, alternating with Sport Relief. The cash raised goes to benefit people in need in the UK and abroad, to aim to create a just world free of poverty.


David last presented the show with Davina McCall in 2009, and travelled to Uganda to to film a moving campaign video in 2010 for the 2011 appeal.
