Catherine Tate: "Is there any other Doctor beside David Tennant?"

Catherine Tate has admitted to the TV Times that she wouldn't rule out a return to Doctor Who.

The actress who played Tenth Doctor companion Donna Noble  told the latest issue of the magazine: "Yes, I would be more than happy to go back"

And when asked who was her favourite incarnation of the Doctor, other than her co star David Tennant, she jokingly replied "Is there any other Doctor beside David?"

Catherine first appeared in the show when Donna Noble was drawn into the TARDIS in the closing seconds of the series 2 climax Doomsday. She went on to star alongside David Tennant in the 2006 Christmas special The Runaway Bride. She returned for a full series in 2008, but it was tragedy for Donna as the consequences of the creation of the human-Time Lord metacrisis during Journey's End meant she could no longer travel with the Doctor. However, fans were delighted to see her reappear in David's final episodes, The End Of Time.

She also spoke about acting again with David in the 2011 theatre production Much Ado About Nothing.
Saying: "Benedick and Beatrice are similar to the Doctor and Donna in some ways – there’s a lot of sparring – but this is a romantic relationship, which was never the case in Doctor Who."

Doctor Who returns with the 50th Anniversary Special on Saturday 23rd November. The celebratory episode sees the return of David Tennant and Billie Piper alongside Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman, with John Hurt, Joanna Page and Jemma Redgrave also appearing.

You can see Catherine Tate in the new comedy 'Big School' on Fridays at 9pm on BBC One
