Fantastic news for Australian Doctor Who fans: following the success of the first ever Doctor Who pop-up shop in Sydney back in May, BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand will be opening a second store in Brisbane this weekend.
The store will be jam-packed with exclusive merchandise not currently available in Australian stores. There’s the Who Home range of homeware including, teapots,
mugs and notebooks, womenswear from cult US fan-girl designers Her Universe, a
new range of men’s t-shirt designs from the UK, replica coats from Canada,
costume jewellery from the US and a new range of kids’ stationery. Extra
special limited edition items will also be in stock, such as the special
edition Tenth Doctor in tuxedo Titan figurines and the covetable silver
collectible coin from the New Zealand Mint. Of course there will also be the
ever popular range of toys, DVDs and books and as a special treat, fans can get
up close to a TARDIS and a K-9.
The store opens at 9am on Saturday 12 October, and to
celebrate, fans are invited to dress up as their favourite Doctor Who
character. A small gift will be given to the first 20 fans to arrive in
costume. The store will stay open until the end of November or until all stock is sold.
