David Tennant starts as Will Burton, a talented junior defence lawyer who has never lost a case, hence the nickname, The Escape Artist. He has a loving wife and son, two homes and a career that is on the ascent. But all of that is to change when he takes on the case of misfit murder suspect Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell). Despite Foyle's almost certain guilt,Will manages to secure his release...and that is when his problems begin.
