Choice awards, man of the moment David Tennant stars as The Escape Artist in
this brand new BBC drama written by David Wolstencroft (Spooks).
This thrilling action drama, stars a fantastic cast
including Toby Kebbell (Dead Man’s Shoes),
Ashley Jensen (Extras) Sophie Okonedo
(May Day) and Tony Gardner (Lead Balloon), and is released on DVD on
18th November 2013, from Acorn Media, distributors of top TV dramas such as Broadchurch and What Remains, following its transmission on BBC One from 29 October
2013.
Will Burton
(David Tennant is at the top of his game, having never lost a case, he is in
demand much to the chagrin of his courtroom nemesis, Maggie Gardner (Sophie
Okonedo). He works by the simple mantra
that everyone deserves a defence, allowing his genius to
blossom without being impeded by conscience.
Before leaving for a short break in the country with his
wife Kate (Ashley Jensen) and their son, Will is handed a case, the horrific,
brutal murder of a young woman. The defendant Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell) cuts a
sinister figure: psychologically invasive and physically imposing. This time
however, the outcome of the case leads to a shocking game of cat and mouse that
will change his life forever.
The Escape Artist is a truly spellbinding drama that is
guaranteed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the final credits
roll.
