Olivia Colman has confirmed that she will be returning for the second series of Broadchurch
Olivia answered the question about her return during the press launch of her new BBC One drama 7:39. Asked about the sequel to the hit ITV series Broadchurch, she briefly consulted with her agent in the audience before confirming that she would be appearing. Entertainment journalist Ian Wylie adds that she said, "I think it's set in stone…it is. Hooray!".
Olivia has previously hinted in interviews that she has been asked back, and in the audio commentaries on the Blu-ray release of the first series, writer Chris Chibnall also appears to confirm her return.
However, Olivia also added that she will not be joining David Tennant and Chris Chibnall for the US remake of the series, retitled Gracepoint by FOX.
New drama 7:39 starring Olivia with David Morrissey and Sheridan Smith is expected to air on BBC One at Christmas
