The award winning drama series Broadchurch comes to South Africa tonight as episode 1 airs on M-Net Series Showcase at 21.00. David Tennant and Olivia Colman star as Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller who are thrown together in order to solve the shocking murder of a child in a peaceful seaside community. The impressive ensemble cast also includes Arthur Darvill, Andrew Buchan, Jodie Whittaker and David Bradley.

Broadchurch was created for ITV by Doctor Who and Torchwood writer Chris Chibnall. The critically acclaimed drama, which has been aired by broadcasters around the world since its UK debut in March 2013, has been recommissioned for a second series and is being adapted for American audiences by Fox in the USA.
Further episodes of the eight part series will air on Sunday nights through January and February.
