They also curate The Journal: a daily selection of arts video sourced from around the world, which may be a short film, animation, tutorial or screen test - just about anything with the potential to inspire, entertain and intrigue.

Today's Journal selection, to cheer us all up on that first bleak, post-Christmas, back-to-work Monday, is a romantic short with a twist starring David Tennant. Nine 1/2 Minutes is the creation of writer and director Josh Appignanesi (The Infidel) from 2003. David Tennant and Zoe Telford star as a couple on a blind date who take an innovative approach to their relationship. Watch it here:

The film was written and directed by Josh Appignanesi & Misha Manson-Smith and produced by Ollie Madden and Demelza Jones. It was an Official Selection at the Edinburgh Film Festival and awarded Runner Up in the BBC New Talent Awards. It also appeared in selected cinemas as a supporting feature to Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason.
