AUSTRALIA: The History Channel To Repeat Shakespeare Uncovered



Viewers in Australia will soon be able to watch the fascinating series of documentaries Shakespeare Uncovered once again. The six-episode series explores some of Shakespeare's best loved plays as seen through the eyes of a number of celebrity hosts, including Jeremy Irons, Sir Derek Jacobi and Joely Richardson. David Tennant presents an episode dedicated to Hamlet.

The series was produced by Blakeway Productions, 116 Films and THIRTEEN in association with Shakespeare’s Globe and first aired on BBC Four in summer 2012. It was originally shown in Australia by ABC1 early in 2013. 

The History Channel will show the series from Friday 7th March at 7.30pm starting with Joely Richardson's episode on Shakepeare's Women. The episode will be repeated at 3.30am and 11.30am on Saturday morning. The series continues on Friday 14th March at the same times as Ethan Hawke explores Macbeth.

The date of broadcast of David Tennant's episode on Hamlet is yet to be confirmed.
