BAFTA Awards: Nominations For Olivia Colman And Broadchurch, Nothing For David Tennant

The shortlist for the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards was revealed today and as expected the acclaimed ITV drama Broadchurch featured in multiple categories. However, despite nods for actors Olivia Colman and David Bradley there was nothing for David Tennant who played brooding detective Alec Hardy.

Broadchurch received three nominations. Last year's double BAFTA winner Olivia Colman was shortlisted for Leading Actress for her role as local detective Ellie Miller. David Bradley was nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jack Marshall, the newsagent with a mysterious past. Broadchurch written by Chris Chibnall and produced by Kudos TV and Imaginary Friends for ITV, was nominated in the Drama Series category.

Broadchurch is also listed in the Radio Times Audience Award alongside Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor starring David Tennant and Matt Smith.
