Explore The Broadchurch Trail With Visit-Dorset

Following months of rumour, speculation and excitement, filming is beginning on the second series of Broadchurch on location in Dorset and Somerset. The first series of the award winning drama firmly established the stunning Jurassic coast of Dorset as the perfect holiday destination, whether as somewhere to relax, to drink in the beautiful scenery or to explore some of the iconic locations featured in the series.

West Bay, with its towering cliffs and golden beaches, doubled for the sleepy seaside town of Broadchurch and has become the focal point of most of the tourist interest. And it's not only the viewers who have fallen in love with West Bay and nearby Bridport - the cast were taken with the area too.

David Tennant said, “This is the only place you’d ever want to come on your holidays.”

Olivia Colman added, “...being on the cliff at Bridport in the sunshine during the first week of filming was just amazing. Idyllic.”

Visit-Dorset.com have even produced their own Broadchurch Trail guide so you can identify all of those iconic locations seen in the first series.
