Peter de Jersey Confirms His Broadchurch Return

Peter de Jersey, who played SOCO Brian Young in the first series of Broadchurch has confirmed that he will be returning for the second series of the award winning drama.

Talking to James Wheatley of Flicks And The City at Collectormania in Milton Keynes over the weekend he spoke about his hopes for the new series and added "I will be involved in it, yeah."

"I think the writer would be wise to explore it but in a different way entirely," he said. "I don't think that they should try to repeat something but it should be a continuation of something."

Peter also spoke of the thrill of being involved in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode The Day Of The Doctor. "It was too exciting and a great honour really...as an actor you want to be involved in Doctor Who but to be involved in the 50th one was just off the scale," he said.

Peter additionally mentioned that he had recently been filming in Vancouver and had taken the opportunity to catch up with David Tennant who is currently in Canada filming Gracepoint, the US remake of Broadchurch. "He was enjoying it and said that it was all going very well. I'm curious to see how that turns out. I wish them all great success with it," he said. He hadn't heard David's America accent though. "He talked to me with his American beard...and that was good." he joked.
