Shaw Media have released a first look at the new ten part series Gracepoint which premieres on the Global Network across Canada in October.
The new drama is a US remake of the award winning UK series Broadchurch and shares a star in David Tennant. The Fox TV version promises new twists, new suspects and a different ending to its UK counterpart. The murder mystery was shot entirely on location on Vancouver Island, BC earlier this year.
When the body of a young boy is found murdered at the foot of cliffs on the picturesque beach, the northern Californian town of Gracepoint becomes the focus of a major police investigation and the centre of a press frenzy. David Tennant and Anna Gunn play detectives Emmett Carver and Ellie Miller, who lead police enquiries but who find that every resident of the town seemingly has something to hide. Other cast includes Jacki Weaver, Nick Nolte and Kevin Zegers.
The new clip contains footage previously unseem on Fox TV promos, including a shocking discovery for Ellie and a surprise visitor for Emmett Carver, who is also shown in an apparent state of collapse.

Gracepoint premieres on the Global Network on Thursday 2nd October at 9pm ET, the same day and time as its debut on Fox TV in the USA.
