AUDIO: David Tennant Talks To Magic Radio

David Tennant appeared on The Green Room on Magic Radio yesterday to chat to Jo Parkerson about his latest film What We Did on Our Holiday.

In the phone interview, David revealed he was on the set of Broadchurch 2 in a definitely "Not Dorset" secret location. The shoot is now in its final weeks, although David was not any more free with the information about the new series. All he would admit was that the scripts were very thrilling but very different, "...kind of the same but different", but also hyper-confidential.

He also spoke about filming What We Did On Our Holiday with Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike, three very talented children and the comedy god, Billy Connolly. The film is the first big screen project for Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creators of Outnumbered, of whom David said,

"What Guy and Andy are very good at capturing - if you've been a parent or a grandparent or a child, and we've all been at least one of those - there's something to identify there. They capture those moments of life that you don't often see on film. There's a real truth to what they do."

David was also typically coy about his plans for after Broadchurch hinting only that he had a few projects lined up for 2015.

What We Did On Our Holiday follows a couple on the point of divorce on a fraught trip to Scotland with their three kids to celebrate a family birthday. The black comedy is both tear-jerking and hilarious, and also stars Ben Miller and Amelia Bullmore. The film is on general release in cinemas in the UK and Ireland now.
