AUSTRALIA PREMIERE: What We Did On Our Holiday To Screen During Emirates British Film Festival



David Tennant's latest film, the BBC Films comedy feature What We Did On Our Holiday will be screening in Palace Cinemas across Australia as part of the Emirates British Film Festival 2014. This will mark the Australian premiere of the movie which went on general release in the UK last month.

David stars as Doug McLeod, a Scot living in London who is going through an acrimonious divorce from wife Abi (Rosamund Pike). They make the decision to put their differences aside to take a trip to Scotland with their three young children to celebrate the 75th birthday of Doug's father Gordie (Billy Connolly). As Gordie is unwell, they want to keep news of their separation from him, but can the children keep the secret? What We Did On Our Holiday is written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creators of the UK sitcom Outnumbered. The film also stars, Ben Miller, Amelia Bullmore and Celia Imrie, with Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Turnbull as the McLeod children.

The Emirates British Film Festival aims to showcase the best of contemporary British cinema with some of the most talked-about features of the year. The 2014 festival consists of 21 titles, including 13 Australian premieres and the programme includes The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch, A Long Way Down with Pierce Brosnan and Toni Colette and Mr. Turner with Timothy Spall. The season will also feature a Six From The 60s retrospective which includes screenings of the 50th anniversary digital restoration of The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night
