PHOTOS: David Tennant In Fright Night #ThrowbackThursday Hallowe'en Special

As tomorrow is Hallowe'en what better way to celebrate than with a look back at David Tennant's vampire movie Fright Night?

David Tennant plays Peter Vincent in the 2011 remake of the 1985 cult classic Fright Night. In the original movie the character was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he’s a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when teenager Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) turns to him for assistance, he’s less than helpful. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Imogen Poots and Toni Collette also star.

Fright Night
Senior Charlie Brewster finally has it all going on: he's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right -- but everyone, including Charlie's mom, doesn't notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighbourhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself.

The film was adapted from the original Tom Holland movie by Marti Noxon and directed by Craig Gillespie. It was filmed in New Mexico in summer 2010 in 3D and was released in the UK and the United States in August 2011. David Tennant attended the UK premiere at the O2 Arena, London.
