USA: Cinematic Release In The Pipeline For What We Did On Our Holiday

It looks as if the wait might soon be over for American fans: the hit comedy feature What We Did On Our Holiday is due to have a cinematic release in the United States.

The Independent Film Company who are handling international sales confirmed in a tweet this morning to Twitter user @kimber_26 that they are currently working on the American deal.

What We Did On Our Holiday stars David Tennant and Rosamund Pike as Doug and Abi McLeod, a couple going through an acrimonious divorce who put their differences aside in order to travel to Scotland to celebrate the 75th birthday of Doug's father Gordie (Billy Connolly). As Gordie has been unwell, the plan is to keep news of the split secret, but can their three loquacious children play along? But it takes an unexpected event to show the family that it is important to put their differences aside if they are to save the day. What We Did On Our Holiday also stars Ben Miller, Amelia Bullmore and Celia Imrie, and was written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin for BBC Films and Origin Pictures.

No release information is available yet, but we'll post it as soon as we get it.
