David Tennant made it through the first round of the Anglophenia Anglo Fan Favourites Man of 2014 contest, beating The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln with an authoritative 87.36% of the vote.

The Anglophenia Anglo Fan Favourites contest pitches 32 of the UK and Ireland's most beloved male stars to battle it out through one-on-one votes until only one is left standing. Previous winners have included Tom Hiddleston and Alan Rickman.
Other survivors to Round 2 include Ben Whishaw, Benedict Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg and Daniel Radcliffe.
