BROADCHURCH: David Tennant And Co-Stars On Filming Locations
David Tennant and some of the other stars of the returning ITV drama Broadchurch have been sharing their thoughts about the stunning locations with the Dorset Echo. Many of the more recognisable scenery and town landmarks from the series are shot around the Dorset village of West Bay, although as David Tennant reveals the fictional Broadchurch is made up of locations shot all over the country.
“A lot of people assume we filmed the whole thing in Dorset but of course we didn't. We film the beach scenes, anything to do with water down there, everything else was in London for interiors and we use locations around Bristol, but West Bay is the location that everyone recognises. The Jurassic cliffs still feature prominently in season two. We’ll see the police station again and other locations audiences have seen before. We always enjoy coming back here,” he said, adding that he loved being back in West Bay.
“It’s beautiful and the people were wonderful, so accommodating and so excited.”
