The Shine Group have confirmed that consolidated figures for the opening episode of the second series of Broadchurch show that it was watched by 10.9 million viewers in the UK.
These figures count not only those who watched the show as it went out live at 9pm on Monday night on ITV, but also those who recorded the show to watch later or who viewed via a catch up service.
Broadchurch continues on Monday 19th January at 9pm on ITV in the UK and 10pm on TV3 in Ireland.
