PRESS REVIEWS: Broadchurch Series 2 Episode 2

Below is a round up of press reviews of last night's episode of Broadchurch.

Still haunted by the case involving the murder of 11-year-old Danny Latimer, DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller pick themselves up and continue their investigative work, all the while dealing with the far-reaching consequences of the earlier case.

The Telegraph call the episode 'gripping' and give it 4 stars out of 5.

The Huffington Post say 'The drama continues with more twists, and welcome flashes of humour'.

The Guardian say 'It's and intersesting take on a courtroom drama'

Wales Online focus on the blows dealt to Ellie in the episode.

Radio Times says 'While Broadchurch sometimes strains credibility, some clever plotting is keeping us all guessing as the second series takes another dramatic twist…'

The Daily Mail say 'The torture continues, not just for the residents of Broadchurch, but for the viewers'

The Independent are less convinced and have decided to ask 'Is there too much drama simply for the sake of it?'

And The Metro are also more negative wondering if the series has 'jumped the shark'
