RATINGS: Broadchurch Back On Top In The Monday Night Clash Of The Crime Dramas



Broadchurch was the slot winner this week in the Monday night 9pm clash between the ITV thriller and the long-running BBC One forensics drama Silent Witness.

Broadchurch attracted 5.6 million viewers (22.7%) over Silent Witness at 5.5m (22.5%). The figures represented a drop for both shows last night, Broadchurch dropping 100,000 viewers on episode 3, Silent Witness losing 400,000 compared to last week.

Last night's audience figures were the lowest so far for the ITV show which opened to 7.6 m watching live, climbing to 10.9m via catch up viewings.

Elsewhere, David Starkey's Magna Carta  drew 1.5m (6.1%) to BBC Two, The Undateables on Channel 4 was watched by 2.2m (8.8%), and Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 brought in 2.6m (10.4%).
