Good news for American Doctor Who fans - the series will be staying on Netflix after all!
Last week the streaming service made headlines when a rumour emerged that many British series were going to be dropped at the end of the month, including Doctor Who, Luther and Torchwood. However, a spokesperson from Netflix has contacted Variety to reassure users that many of the most popular BBC shows were to remain following a renewal of the contract between the two companies.
Although some shows will be dropped after 1st February, the majority remain:
- Classic Doctor Who
- Doctor Who seasons 1-7
- Copper seasons 1-2
- House of Cards (original version)
- Keeping up Appearances season 1
- Luther seasons 1-3
- Monarch of the Glen seasons 1-6
- North & South
- Robin Hood seasons 1-3
- The Buccaneers
- The Office seasons 1-2
- Top Gear seasons 17-20
- Torchwood season 1-4
- Wallander seasons 1-3
Sherlock, Happy Valley, The Honorable Woman, and Call
the Midwife are also retained as they are part of a separate deal.
