Carrie-Anne Moss Joins David Tennant In Marvel's Jessica Jones



Marvel have announced another exciting addition to the growing cast of the Netflix series A.K.A Jessica Jones as Carrie-Anne Moss, star of The Matrix Trilogy signs up. She joins previously announced cast members Krysten Ritter as the titualr Jones, David Tennant as the villainous Kilgrave, Rachael Taylor as Patricia 'Trish' Walker and Mike Colter as Nick Cage.

Marvel have declined to name the character so far, instead only revealing, "Moss plays a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica...if Jessica doesn't completely alienate her first."


Executive Producer and Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg said of the casting of the Canadian-born actress, also known for Memento  and Chocolat, "Throughout her career, Carrie-Anne has embodied a wide range of characters in a compelling and relatable way and I have no doubt she will bring that talent to A.K.A. Jessica Jones."

"Carrie-Anne has proven her ability to play complex characters with deep and layered inner lives," added Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television. "Her interaction with Jessica Jones will be one of the many highlights of the series."

Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones follows a former superhero who rebuilds her life after a tragic and traumatic event by opening a detective agency in New York specialising in cases involving people with special abilities. However the reappearance of an enigmatic figure from her past will send shockwaves through the former superhero’s world. The thirteen part series goes into production soon and will premiere on Netflix later this year or early in 2016. It is the second in four Marvel adaptations which will lead into a Defenders movie.
