David Tennant On Comic Relief's 'Simple But Fun' Life-Changing Fundraiser

David Tennant has appealed to Comic Relief supporters to take part in this year's fundraiser and to help raise money to change the lives of disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world.

When Red Nose Day returns on Friday 13th March Comic Relief is calling on the great British public to make their face funny for money! Members of the public can buy one of the nine new Noses or get sponsored to paint their face or let their kids or friends do their make-up. Then they can text-donate a selfie. Simply text FUNNY to 70011 to donate £1. Comic Relief will reply to the text with a link that people can use to send over their photo and they could appear in the Red Nose Day campaign! Lines are open now until 30th April*.

David is among a number of Comic Relief’s celebrity supporters who have made their face funny to help inspire the nation to get involved this Red Nose Day. He told the Daily Record,

“I’ll be supporting Red Nose Day once again and this time I’ll be making my face funny. It’s got to be one of the most simple but fun ways to raise money yet. Money that will help people both in the UK and Africa.”

In previous years David has visited both Uganda and Sierra Leone to film appeals for Comic Relief and sister campaign Sport Relief and has seen at first hand exactly how some of the poorest people in the world live and how even the smallest donation can make a huge difference.
