David Tennant stars in the legal thriller The Escape Artist which has its TV premiere in the Netherlands on Saturday 14th February. David was awarded a Scottish BAFTA last year for his portrayal of barrister Will Burton, a man whose comfortable life is turned upside-down when he takes on the case of a suspect in a brutal murder case.
The Escape Artist was written by David Wolstencroft and originally aired on BBC One. The series also stars Toby Kebbell, Sophie Okonedo and Ashley Jensen.

Will Burton is een succesvolle advocaat die het talent heeft om zijn cliënten uit hun benarde positie te redden. Zijn bijnaam is dan ook The Escape Artist. Will is veel gevraagd en heeft nog nooit een zaak verloren, tot grote ergernis van zijn grote rivaal in de rechtszaal, Maggie Gardner.
Nu krijgt hij een beetje tegen zijn zin een nieuwe zaak toegewezen waarbij hij Liam Foyle moet verdedigen die ervan verdacht wordt een jonge vrouw op afschuwelijke wijze te hebben vermoord.
