Viewers in the Netherlands can watch David Tennant in his BAFTA Scotland-winning performance tonight in the legal thriller The Escape
Artist. The three part drama has its TV premiere in the KRO Detectives slot on NPO2. David stars as barrister Will Burton, whose life is turned upside down after he wins the acquittal of the accused in a brutal murder case.
The Escape Artist was written by David Wolstencroft and originally aired on BBC
One. The series also stars Toby Kebbell, Sophie Okonedo and Ashley Jensen.

Will Burton is een succesvolle advocaat die het talent heeft om zijn cliënten uit hun benarde positie te redden. Zijn bijnaam is dan ook The Escape Artist. Will is veel gevraagd en heeft nog nooit een zaak verloren, tot grote ergernis van zijn grote rivaal in de rechtszaal, Maggie Gardner.
Nu krijgt hij een beetje tegen zijn zin een nieuwe zaak toegewezen waarbij hij Liam Foyle moet verdedigen die ervan verdacht wordt een jonge vrouw op afschuwelijke wijze te hebben vermoord.

Then he is assigned a new case in which he must defend Liam Foyle, suspected of the horrible murder of a young woman, against his sentence.
