W1A Nominated In 2015 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards



The BBC Two sitcom W1A is shortlisted in the Best Comedy / Entertainment category in the 2015 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, announced today.

David Tennant narrated the spoof fly-on-the-wall documentary, a four part follow up to the award winning Twenty Twelve. The series was written and directed by John Morton and saw Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes reprise their roles as Ian Fletcher and Siobhan Sharpe as they put the London Olympics behind them and begin work for the BBC. Other cast included Jason Watkins, Nina Sosanya and Sarah Parish.

The annual Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, now in their 41st year, are chosen by journalists who write about TV and radio. The awards, sponsored by Discovery Channel will be presented during a lunchtime ceremony at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Friday March 13th 2015.

A second series of W1A  is currently in production. It is not confirmed whether David Tennant will narrate.
