Disney Consumer Products has announced its 2015 plans for Marvel, including merchandise for its new Netflix programming, meaning that David Tennant's new series will soon have its own line of merchandising.
This year will also see the debut of Marvel’s Daredevil,
the first of several series slated for production on Netflix; followed later in
2015 by Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones. Luke Cage and Iron Fist are
also in development, leading into a Defenders miniseries and possibly a movie. Each of the series will be supported by an encompassing 'Marvel Knights' merchandise programme with product lines in a more sophisticated and edgy fashion style, as well as new
collector focused opportunities, aimed at teen and adult fans.
A.K.A. Jessica Jones is currently filming in New York. Krysten Ritter plays the eponymous former superhero-turned-private detective, while David Tennant co-stars as the villainous Kilgrave, also known as The Purple Man. The thirteen part series based on the Alias series of Marvel comics also stars Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss and Rachael Taylor. A.K.A Jessica Jones is a Marvel television production in partnership with ABC Studios for Netflix.
