David Tennant Collects For Comic Relief On Transatlantic Flight

David Tennant generously took part in an impromptu charity event yesterday when he assisted the crew on board his flight from New York to London to raise money. David stepped up to encourage his fellow travellers to donate in a collection for UK-based charity Comic Relief. Last Friday (13th March) saw people up and down the UK donning their red noses and joining in money-making schemes to raise a record breaking £78.1 million for people in need in the UK and Africa during Red Nose Day, Comic Relief's biennial fundraising event.

David's involvement was tweeted by one of the flight crew after the plane landed in London.

David is currently shooting Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones on location in New York. He stars as the villainous Kilgrave in the 13-part Netflix exclusive series, an adaptation of Marvel's Alias comic book series. Krysten Ritter stars as the eponymous Jones, with Carrie-Anne Moss, Mike Colter and Rachael Taylor also among the cast. The series is expected towards the end of this year.

Last week NBC confirmed that Red Nose Day would be coming to the USA on May 21st.
