Royal Shakespeare Company Launches King & Country Website

The Royal Shakespeare Company have launched a stand-alone mini site for their new major theatrical event which will bring David Tennant back to the Barbican Theatre in London this winter.

King & Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle Of Kings brings together the tetralogy of Richard II, Henry IV Parts 1 & 2 and Henry V in a complete cycle of all four plays in repertoire for a season that celebrates the 400th anniversary of the Bard's death. David Tennant will be reprising his award-winning lead role in Richard II, returning to the Barbican in the production that originally ran there from December 2013 - January 2014. He will be joined by Anthony Sher as Falstaff and Jasper Britton as King Henry in Henry IV Parts 1 & 2.

The event will open with Henry V starring Alex Hassell in the title role. This production runs from 7th November; the other three plays will join the cycle from Thursday 10th December and continue until Sunday 24th January 2016.

During this period there will be a number of stand-alone performances of Henry IV Parts I and II from 11-29 December 2015 and Richard II from 7-10 January 2016. Tickets for these performances can be purchased on an individual basis and not as part of a 4-play cycle.

Tickets for the complete cycle go on sale from 24th April to RSC supporters and from 5th May to the general public and will be priced from £40 - £300.
