When a new neighbour moves in next door, Charley Brewster's (Anton Yelchin) main worry is that the guy will make moves on his mother (Toni Collette). But Charley's geeky friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) convinces him that Jerry (Colin Farrell), with his blacked-out windows and mysterious night-time digging, is a vampire. People are going missing all over the neighbourhood and it's up to Charley to find out the truth before his mum invites the new neighbour into their house. Unable to convince anyone of what he knows, he turns to self-proclaimed vampire expert Peter Vincent (David Tennant) for advice.
