Doctor Who / Beatles Crossover Artwork Celebrates Symphonic Spectacular UK Debut



The BBC are celebrating the arrival of the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular tour in the UK with some specially commissioned artwork. 

Some of the show's stars, including current and former Doctors, companions and iconic foes appear in a piece of art inspired by Sir Peter Blake's iconic cover to The Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The poster includes David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, Christopher Eccleston, Alex Kingston, Dan Starkey and Catherine Tate among many more. Also featured is Peter Davison who will be hosting the live events. Check out the picture above and see who else you can spot!

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular UK Tour begins in London on 23rd May and then takes in Cardiff, Birmigham, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow across thirteen dates. The shows features the captivating compositions of Murray Gold from the BBC series performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Chorus of Wales, conducted by Ben Foster.  The performances are accompanied by specially edited big-screen sequences from the show and a host of live monsters including the Daleks, Cybermen and the Silence.
