W1A Nominated For South Bank Sky Arts Award



The first series of spoof fly-on-the-wall documentary W1A has been nominated in the Comedy category in the South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2015. 

The four-episode comedy W1A aired last year on BBC Two. David Tennant narrates the series which sees Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes reprising their roles from the award-winning Twenty Twelve as the characters take up new positions in the BBC. W1A was written and directed by John Morton.

Also nominated in the same category are Sky Living's Doll & Em starring Emily Mortimer and Dolly Wells, and The Trip To Italy (BBC Two) with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Click here for a full list of nominations.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony hosted by Melvyn Bragg from The Savoy Hotel on Sunday 7th June. The event will be televised on Sky Arts 1 on Wednesday 10th June at 8pm.

W1A returns for a second series on Thursday 23rd April on BBC Two at 9pm with four new episodes starting with an hour long special.
