The BBC Films feature What We Did On Our Holiday was the winner of the Best Comedy award at the inaugural National Film Awards, held last night in London. The film starring David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly was written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creative team behind UK sitcom Outnumbered, and was released in the UK in September 2014.

The winners of the awards were determined by the votes of cinema goers through the National Film Academy website.
