GERMANY: David Tennant Contributes To Die SciFi-Story On ZDF Tonight
David Tennant is one of many contributors to the four part documentary Die SciFi-Story which will be shown in its entirety on ZDFinfo in Germany tonight. The series originally premiered on BBC America in the USA under the title The Real History Of Science Fiction and as Tomorrow's Worlds: The Unearthly History Of Science Fiction On BBC Two in the UK.
The series explores the fascination that the public have with the genre of science fiction, with particular focus on robots, space travel, time travel and alien life. The series asks some of the biggest actors, writers, directors and artists to explain why we are so gripped by sci-fi and how it has shaped our present day life.
David Tennant appears in episodes 3 and 4 dedicated to alien invasions and to time travel respectively. Other contributors include William Shatner, Rutger Hauer, Steven Moffat, Karen Gillan, Nichelle Nichols, John Carpenter and Audrey Niffenegger.
