JAPAN: Broadchurch Season 2 To Premiere On WOWOW Prime In July

The second season of the much acclaimed UK series Broadchurch will premiere on WOWOW Prime in Japan on July 19th.

David Tennant and Olivia Colman return as Alec Hardy and Olivia Colman as the little town of Broadchurch attempts to recover from the horror of Danny Latimer's murder and the identification of his killer. But as the murder trial begins there is an unexpected twist that plunges the town right back into a new nightmare. Meanwhile, a case from the past returns to haunt Alec. The new season also sees the return of Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill, and the familiar faces will be joined by new cast members Eve Myles, Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James D'Arcy and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The series will air in its entirety (eight episodes) on Sunday 19th July on WOWOW Prime starting from 1.30pm.

WOWOW Prime is a subscription channel. However, the first episode of the new season will be available to view for free.

The first season of Broadchurch will also be broadcast in its entirety the night before from 2.15am on Sunday morning.

Broadchurch was written by Chris Chibnall and produced by Kudos Film & Television and Imaginary Friends for ITV. The second series premiered on ITV in the UK in early January this year.
