UK: David Tennant In My Shakespeare On Sky Arts Tonight



David Tennant's 2012 documentary on Hamlet will be repeated again on Sky Arts 1 in the UK at 7.00pm BST tonight. 

The episode is also available for Sky Go subscribers to download.

David Tennant on Hamlet is the opener for the second series of My Shakespeare, originally broadcast on the BBC at Shakespeare Uncovered. The series encourages some of the greatest Shakespearean actors from the UK and USA to explore their passion for Britain's greatest writer and explain their personal connection to one of his iconic works. Actors across the two series have included Jeremy Irons, Joely Richardson, Morgan Freeman and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Renowned actor David Tennant investigates the Bard's tale of monarchy, madness, murder and suicide, asking what it is about the play's title character that remains so compelling 400 years after his creation. David, who himself played the role for the Royal Shakepeare Company in 2008-9 talks to other former Hamlets, including Simon Russell Beale, Jude Law and Ben Whishaw, to discover some of the challenges of playing the vengeful Danish Prince.
