CANADA: Gracepoint Available To Stream Next Month On Shomi



The crime drama Gracepoint starring David Tennant and Anna Gunn will be available to stream via the new Canadian service Shomi from August 14th.

The ten-part series is the FOX TV remake of the UK show Broadchurch, also starring David Tennant in a similar role. When the body of a twelve year old body is found on the beach near a small californian town, a murder hunt is launched that changes life for the small community forever. As suspicions grow and tensions increase, long-hidden secrets start to emerge . Soon it seems that anyone could be the killer. David Tennant plays Det. Emmett Carver, a new arrival in town, who leads the investigation. Anna Gunn plays his local colleague, Ellie Miller, who is also friends with the dead boy's family. The series also stars Michael Peña, Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver and Kevin Rankin. 

Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall wrote the first episode and executive produced the series along with Dan Futterberg and Anya Epstein. 

Shomi is a new video on demand service available to television and internet customers of Shaw and Rogers costing $8.00 per month with a free 30 day trial.
