JAPAN: Broadchurch Marathon - Seasons 1 & 2 Shown In Their Entirety From Tonight

Viewers in Japan will be able to watch the brand new season of UK crime drama Broadchurch in its entirety tomorrow when all eight episodes are shown back-to-back on WOWOW Prime.

The award-winning ITV drama returns for a second gripping season as the residents of the small coastal town of Broadchurch try to recover from the horrific crime that has hit their small community. David Tennant and Olivia Colman are back as detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, along with Arthur Darvill, Andrew Buchan and Jodie Whittaker. They are joined for season 2 by Eve Myles, Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and James D'Arcy. As the trial of Danny Latimer's killer gets underway, Alec Hardy begs his former colleague Ellie to help him solve a crime that still haunts him.

Broadchurch Season 2 Episodes 1-8 air on WOWOW Prime on Sunday 19th July from 1.30pm.

Prior to the Japanese premiere of Season 2, WOWOW Prime will also be repeating the original series overnight in the early hours of Sunday morning. When the body of eleven year-old Danny Latimer is found on the local beach, all of the residents of the small seaside town of Broadchurch come under suspicion. Local detective Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) and her new boss Alec Hardy (David Tennant) must reluctantly work together to find the killer - easier said than done when everyone seems to have their own secrets.

Watch Broadchurch Season 1 Episodes 1-8 on WOWOW Prime on Sunday 19th July (late Saturday night) from 2.15am.

Broadchurch seasons 1 and 2 are written by Chris Chibnall and produced for ITV by Imaginary Friends and Kudos Film and Television. Earlier this year ITV confirmed that a third season would shortly be going into production.
