In the black comedy from the makers of the hit UK sitcom Outnumbered, David Tennant and Rosmund Pike star as divorcing couple Doug and Abi McLeod. A family trip back up to Scotland lies ahead, to celebrate the 75th birthday of Doug's dad Gordie (Billy Connolly), and not wanting to rock the boat, Doug and Abi are keen to keep news of their split a secret. However their three lively children can't help but reveal some of the intimate secrets of their family life. Written and directed for BBC Films and Origin Pictures by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, What We Did On Our Holiday also stars Ben Miller, Annette Crosbie, Amelia Bullmore and Celia Imrie. Arguably though, the real stars of the film are young actors Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Turnbull who play the three McLeod children. The film was originally released in the UK in September 2014.
