GERMANY: Broadchurch Season 2 To Premiere On 13th Street In November

The second season of the award-winning ITV drama Broadchurch has been snapped up by pay-TV channel 13th Street for its premiere broadcast in Germany. The station will show the eight-part series, which sees the return of David Tennant and Olivia Colman in the roles of Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, from Monday 30th November.

Where season 1 dealt with the investigation surrounding the murder of young Danny Latimer and the impact of the crime on his family and the wider community, the second season focuses on the trial of his killer. Running parallel to this is another investigation, led by Detective Alec Hardy, into a troubling and unsolved case from his past involving the abduction and murder of two young girls. And although the investigation into Danny's murder has turned her life completely upside-down, Hardy begs the support of his former colleague Ellie Miller on this mystery.

A number of familiar faces from season 1 will also return, including Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill, while new additions include Eve Myles, Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and James D'Arcy.

Season 2 will be shown in double episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays from 21.50 starting from Monday 30th November on 13th Street with the option of the original soundtrack.

Prior to that, 13th Street will also show season 1 on Mondays and Tuesdays from Monday 16th November in double episodes from 20.10, and the entire eight-episode series in marathon on Saturday 28th November from 20.10.
