RADIO: Caesar! Peeling Figs For Julius Starring David Tennant Repeated On BBC Radio Four Extra Tomorrow



David Tennant stars in the radio play Peeling Figs For Julius, repeated on BBC Radio 4 Extra tomorrow morning. David plays the notorious First Century Roman Emperor, Gaius Caligula whose name is now a byword for depravity. 

The play was adapted by Mike Walker from the historical work Lives Of The Caesars by Suetonius and was the third part in his Caesar! trilogy, originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in August 2003.

Was Caligula the evil man history has painted him? Growing up in the poisonous atmosphere of Tiberius's court, the only person he could really trust was his sister, Drusilla.
