The 2003 radio play Peeling Figs For Julius starring David Tennant is
repeated on BBC Radio 4 Extra today. David plays the notorious First Century Roman Emperor, Gaius Caligula whose name is now a byword for depravity. The play was adapted by Mike Walker from the historical work Lives Of The Caesars by Suetonius and was the third part in his Caesar! trilogy.
