UPDATED - INTERVIEW: David Tennant Announced As Narrator Of Classic FM's Charity Audio Play

This morning it was announced on Classic FM that David Tennant is the narrator of their charity audio play, Upstairs Downland Abbey, a comedy whodunnit which is "one part Poirot, one part Downton Abbey and all parts farce".

LISTEN TO DAVID'S INTERVIEW HERE

It's all in aid of Classic FM's charity Global's Make Some Noise which, on the 8th October, joins forces with radio stations across the UK to raise money for disadvantaged children & young people.

David will be joined by a host of familiar names from Classic FM including actor Alexander Armstrong, TV stars Myleene Klass and Aled Jones and former Blur guitarist Alex James.

Watch a trailer below:

The story so far...
Lord and Lady Armstrong Green have invited friends to witness the unveiling of their new bust of Mozart. It will sit alongside his lordship’s favourite bust, the one of Beethoven.

Dashing heir Aled, the Earl of Bangor-didn’t-we-have-a-lovely-time and his sister Lady Myleene Upper Klass are there. Uncle Alex James, the third baronet, is also in attendance.

Esteemed soprano Catarina Botti is booked to sing at the unveiling. But the evening doesn’t go to plan. This looks like a case for John Purée, brother of the more moustachioed Hercules. Or is it?

All is not what it seems at Upstairs Downland Abbey…

How to listen...
You can pre order episode 1 for just £5 on the official site here.
They will send you a link to download Episode 1 on 5 October, with Episode 2 following on 8 October.

If you order before 23:59 on 4 October 2015, they will also send you an exclusive interview between the play's creator, Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau, and John Suchet.
