AUSTRALIA: W1A Narrated By David Tennant Premieres On BBC First Tonight

The award-winning BBC comedy series W1A comes to BBC First in Australia tonight.
David Tennant narrates the spoof documentary series created by John Morton as a follow up to his acclaimed series Twenty Twelve. The series sees Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes reprise their performances as Ian Fletcher and Siobhan Sharpe as the characters move on to face new challenges in their respective careers following the completion of the London Olympics in 2012.

W1A
After demonstrating his well-meaning ineptitude at the Olympic Deliverance Commission in Twenty Twelve, Ian Fletcher has now joined the British Broadcasting Corporation for W1A – a fictional satirical behind the-scenes series based at the BBC’s London headquarters.
As Ian begins his new job as the BBC’s Head of Values, he encounters a problem. Despite the job having been sold to him as a chance to influence and shape one of the Great British institutions, he soon realises that not only does he not have time to think Big Thoughts, he never has any time to think any thoughts at all.
Massaging presenters egos, deftly handling a BBC ‘Anti-Cornish Bias’ scandal and breaking through mindless creative meetings is all in a day’s work for Ian and the team in this sharply observed comedy, filmed at the BBC’s real offices in Central London.

Both four part series will be shown on BBC First with new episodes premiering on Monday nights for the next four weeks.

Watch W1A season 1 episode 1 from Monday 5th October at 11.25pm with episode 2 following at midnight.
